What’s the best banger for the Event?
Whoever you ask this question will give you a different answer and most of them will be right. It’s really about what’s best for you and your team. For example if you only have 2 of you it may be best to go for something simple like a Renault 5 or a small, reliable car like a VW Golf. With 3 you may want a slightly bigger car like a Citroen Xsara. With 4 of you an estate or a van is best. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Call a few local garages and ask for their advice for your particular circumstance.
Where on Earth can I buy a car for £300?

You’ll be lucky to go to any car dealer and find anything decent for that price so the top 3 places to look are Online, at an Auction or from a Private Seller. A couple of hours driving around your local area with a keen eye and you’ll no doubt find a few cars for sale for the right price. Do a Google search to find local car auctions. How can i make sure i'm not going to get ripped off?
In most cases the seller is genuine but always be cautious. Always get a home contact number rather than a mobile. Always view the car at the sellers property so you know where to go back to if there are any problems. When you phone the first time don't be specific. Ask to see "The Car". If you tell them straight away which car it is, you may fall victim to a dodgy car dealer trying to palm off his faulty cars privately. If they answer with "Which Car" be wary.
Paperwork
Always make sure you check the following documents: the V5 document, the MOT cartificate, the logbook/service history and the tax disk.
